VIDEO: Magic man David Blaine shoots himself in the face during failed stunt

World renowned magician and illusionist David Blaine accidentally shot himself in the face while filming for his new ABC show Beyond Magic.

Blaine, known for his death defying and mind-boggling stunts, suffered a cut to the throat and was taken to hospital.

The magic man was attempting to perform a trick in which he catches a bullet with his mouth in front of a live audience.

But the mechanics of the stunt fell apart, the protective mouth guard snapped from the impact of the bullet and lacerated the back of his throat.
