South Africans Doing Great Things

Developing future leaders for a stronger Africa

The African Leadership Academy (ALA) is trying to instill ethical leadership in the Africa by developing future leaders on the continent.

Speaking to #NightTalk's Lovelyn Nwadeyi, ALA Vice-President Dr Frank Aswani says that the extent of 'cringeworthy' stories coming out in a lot of countries on the continent point to the current state of leadership.

Dr Aswani says that ALA is empowering youths to be able to deal with the unique socio-economic contexts in African countries.

According to Dr Aswani, ALA's curriculum equips students with the skills to be flexible and be able to collaborate with people from across the continent.

Dr Aswani sees ALA as an institution which is rethinking education in the continent, and aims to empower the continent's youth from a young age to be ethical and innovative leaders.
