Parliament grill Prasa over R13.9bn irregular expenditure

Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (Prasa) has appeared before the Standing Committee on Public Accounts (Scopa) to account for R13.9 billion irregular expenditure highlighted by the Auditor General's latest report on government departments and State Owned Entities.

According to EWN reporter Xolani Koyana, Prasa has argued that investigations on possible irregularities and criminalities have been started.

They have mentioned that since the new acting CEO took over they are trying to clean up and they have launched a number of investigations.
