Social grant payouts will not be hampered by CPS contract ending says Sassa

South Africa Social Security Agency (Sassa) says payments of social grants will not be affected when its contract with Cash Payment Services (CPS) ends in March next year.

Sassa spokesman, Kgomotso Diseko, dismisses a Business Day report saying Sassa has not made any arrangements with any key players to pay social grants to beneficiaries.

The contract changes with CPS are due to the 2014 Constitutional Court ruling which declared the contract between Sassa and CPS invalid.
