Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa says the national minimum wage will be applicable to all workers who live in the country, including foreign nationals.
Ramaphosa was answering questions in the National Assembly, report's EWN's Kevin Brandt.
UDM leader Bantu Holomisa had asked what government interventions are in place to curb the exploitation of foreign national workers.
Ramaphosa says that once the the minimum wage figure has been finalised, it will have an effect on every worker in the country.
He said that once it is in effect, it will also cover foreign nationals.— Kevin Brandt, EWN reporter
Ramaphosa said that South African employers who make use of the services of foreign nationals should abide by laws.
Other questions directed at Ramaphosa included the accountability of the executive, ANC's political leadership, the economy and credit ratings agencies, transformation as well as land reform.
