Ex SABC board member says he was attacked for discussing PP's report in meeting

Former SABC board member, Ronnie Lubisi, has testified to Parliament about how he was verbally attacked for trying to discuss the Public Protector's report on former COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng.

The Parliamentary ad hoc committee has started hearings into the fitness of public broadcaster's board and Motsoeneng's leadership.

Yesterday the SABC delegation walked out of Parliament while the Auditor General was making a presentation.

The only remaining SABC board member, Professor Mbulaheni Maghuve, said Parliament violated his constitutional rights and he felt belittled, bullied and disrespected by ad hoc committee members.

Television critic Thinus Ferreira says it appears that Motsoeneng is still in charge of the SABC regardless of changing position to being chief executive for corporate affairs.
