The Personal Finance series with Warren Ingram, Evergreen Content

Money market accounts (and Exchange Traded Funds) FAQs answered

The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield interviewed Galileo Capital Personal Financial Advisor Warren Ingram for his weekly personal finance feature.

Ingram answered the following questions from regular listeners:

  • What on earth is a money market account? I've googled, but now I’m more confused. You always say to keep three to eight months’ salary or expenses in one. I'm not quite at the advised minimum, but I figure it can't hurt to keep my savings to date in such an account.

  • What's the difference between different ETF products? The internet tells me that Ashburton's Top 40 ETF achieved slightly better returns than Satrix's? Fees aside; how's that possible since it's the same Top 40 companies?
