The Fifa ethics committee announced that it has suspended former South Africa Football Association president Kirsten Nematandani for five years, from all football-related activities.
Fifa found that all warm up games played by Bafana-Bafana ahead of the 2010 world cup were fixed.
EWN sports editor, Jean Smyth says Nematandani says that he was never given an opportunity to present his side of the story and he doesn't understand why he was banned.
Nematandani left football behind him quite a while ago and I don't think this ban will affect him specifically.

Football is currently not on his radar but he did tell me that he has a particular interest in wild life conservation.

Smyth says Nematandani will be consulting further with his legal team with regards to the Fifa ban because this will certainly be a blight on his character and reputation.
