On-demand cleaning service, SweepSouth, connects those looking for a cleaner with cleaners looking for jobs in the area. The Johannesburg-based start-up has since built a database of hundreds of cleaners that operates as part of a shared economy.

She said it was important for businesses should carve out their own niche and customise it to specific clients needs to keep large corporations from copying the same services.
