Motsoeneng's permanent appointment as COO wasn't done by the book - Geldenhuys

High profile individuals have been grilled on the stand in Parliament at the ad hoc committees inquiry into the SABC board's fitness to do its work.

Theresa Geldenhuys faced tough questions from evidence leader Advocate Nthuthuzelo Vanara, reports EWN's Gaye Davis.

Geldenhuys is SABC's former Company Secretary and now serves as the general group executive for governance assurance, since October.

Vanara wanted to know whether Geldenhuys was concerned at all about the exodus of senior executives from the SABC.

Davis explains that Geldenhuys has been at the SABC for 26 years and was brought out of retirement for her current contract.

Geldenhuys said she wasn't party the processes which allegedly enabled Hlaudi Motsoeneng to reign.

She did however concede that the meeting where Motsoeneng was appointed permanent COO was irregular.
