Mokotedi gives contradicting statements on plot to murder him

Gauteng Hawks boss Prince Mokotedi has opened a criminal case against Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid) head Robert McBride, former Gauteng Hawks boss Shadrack Sibiya and private investigator Paul O’Sullivan.

Mokotedi is accusing the three of plotting to murder his boss Major General Berning Ntlemeza and himself.

EWN reporter following the story, Barry Bateman,

If you go read what he says in his affidavit and listen to what he said this morning, he has contradicted himself.

Barry Bateman, EWN reporter

In his own affidavit he makes of no mention of a plot to murder anybody that was discussed at the December morning.

Barry Bateman, EWN reporter

He only referred to that this morning, claiming that's how he was told on Monday of the December meeting, where there were these plans discussed to kill me, and that's what prompted me because I had to act having no misinformation.

Barry Bateman, EWN reporter

He spoke about the safety of having the docket opened and all the required investigations that comes with it.
