UK prison officers manage to quell mass inmate riots

Prison officials have managed to gain control of mass protests at a prison in Birmingham after 600 inmates rioted.

Inmates went on a 12-hour rampage over their complaints of showering without hot water. The Secretary of Justice is expected to address the matter during a press conference later today.

702's Bruce Whitfield spoke to UK correspondent, Adam Gilchrist, about the matter and other pertinent issues on the UK Report.

They smashed up furniture, stole keys, set official records on fire on a rampage.
