African Diaspora shouldn't have delivered memorandum based on hearsay - DA MMC

African Diaspora Forum (ADF) has marched against Johannesburg Mayor Herman Mashaba following his comments about illegal immigrants.

During his address on 100 days in office, Mashaba said illegal immigrants are contributing to criminal elements and should leave the City.

City of Johannesburg Democratic Alliance (DA) member of the mayoral committee, Nonhlanhla Sifumba, says it doesn't look like the ADF read mayor's full speech.

I wish they could have read mayor's speech attentively, and not come to a point where they deliver memorandum on a hearsay basis.

Nonhlanhla Sifumba, City of Joburg DA MMC

It's unfortunate that people who have certain agendas twist things to suit their agendas at that point in time. This has nothing to do with politics. It has everything to do with a mayor that has a plan for City of Johannesburg, and has vision to ensure that everyone who lives in City of Johannesburg is safe.

Nonhlanhla Sifumba, City of Joburg DA MMC

Sifumba says people should allow the mayor and national government to find solutions.
