Motsoeneng allegedly squashed board approved tender, awarded it to Vision View

On Tuesday, Eye Witness News reported that it was in possession of documents and board minutes detailing a legitimate tender for refurbishing a studio at the SABC, which was abruptly cancelled and later awarded to a company called Vision View.

The documents were released to EWN by a whistle-blower who wanted to bring to light procurement fraud at the SABC involving former executive Hlaudi Motsoeneng.

EWN reporter, Ilze Marie Le Roux says the board approved tenders to refurbish two studios worth more than R100 million.

The rewarding process was nearly done when Hlaudi Motsoeneng stepped in and ordered it to be cancelled.
