ANC to celebrate 105 years under #UnityInAction theme

African National Congress (ANC) members will gather at Orlando Stadium in Soweto to celebrate 105 years of existence on 8 January 2017.

Minister of Sports and one of the event organisers, Fikile Mbalula, says the ANC will celebrate under the #UnityInAction theme because the ANC has always "emerged in turbulence".

Mbalula says the ANC will use January 8, among other things, to prepare themselves for challenges ahead.

It's important to go to Soweto, the home of liberation, a. A township and suburb today that has history of struggle.

Fikile Mbalula, Minister of Sports

It's important for us to go there and be among the masses of our people when we celebrate this milestone.

Fikile Mbalula, Minister of Sports
