Zuma insists he will serve out his term

President Jacob Zuma on Wednesday, said he won't be resigning anytime soon because he believes he's done nothing wrong.

Zuma was speaking at the ANC Youth League's 'Economic Freedom in Our Lifetime' lecture at Durban’s Olive Convention Centre.

EWN reporter Clement Manyathela says Zuma insisted that he is not going anywhere.

He said resigning would only mean he is surrendering himself over to what he calls monopoly capital.

The President also touched on comments made after he fired the former Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene last year. He said he does not have to explain himself on why he made the decision to axe Nene.

He said he didn't understand why a lot of people were attacking him for what he said was the right decision.

He criticised some people in government and in the ANC who were calling this decision a "disaster Nenegate".
