Bus driver recalls life behind the wheel for the past 45 years

Peter Abrahams has been driving buses for the past 45 years and counting.

Speaking to CapeTalk's John Maytham, Abrahams says bus driving started as a means to put food on the table for his family but over the years he has grown to love what he does.

He has experienced a lot of changes throughout his career from driving buses which were open at the back in the 70's to driving buses with power steering and the introduction of bus lanes!

Cautious driving is important, that's one of the things drivers are taught when they go through the 13 weeks training.
