Zuma sends condolences to Sisulu on passing of her husband

JOHANNESBURG - President Jacob Zuma has extended his condolences to Minister of Human Settlements Lindiwe Sisulu, following the passing of her husband Rok Ajulu.

Zuma says that Ajulu was a renowned internationalist and academic who contributed immensely to the struggle for liberation in his own country Kenya and in South Africa.

Reports state that Ajulu died from complications linked to pancreatic cancer at the Melomed Hospital in Pretoria on Monday.

Presidential spokesperson Bongani Nqulunga says: "Professor Ajulu is a renowned internationalist and academic. He has contributed immensely to not only academia but also to the struggle for liberation in his own native Kenya and South Africa. His passing is great loss to his family, South Africa and indeed the continent.”
