Bottle 2 Build uses plastic to build classrooms for disadvantaged communities

Bottle 2 Build is an initiative aimed at tackling South Africa's shortage of classrooms.

This small company has found a way to turn recycled plastic into functional building material that can be used to build classrooms countrywide.

The company has so far built 45 classrooms and is hoping to build even more.

Keith Petitt, Bottle2Build brand development manager says South Africans have welcomed the idea of using plastic bottles to build classrooms.

He says the country and the rest of the world has a problem with packaging which is the greatest polluter of the environment.
