Charlotte Kilbane (standing in for Poppa Hudson) checked in with this amazing story of heroism involving former South African U23 international soccer star Ryan Botha who now owns Point Brek gym in Cape Town.
Botha helped save a man who took a tumble off the edge of a rim flow pool at a New Year's Eve party in Camps Bay while taking a selfie.
Botha had the presence of mind to do what needed to be done to save him, though he broke his own leg in the process and spent his New Year’s Day in hospital.
Doctors at the hospital say without Both's intervention the man would unlikely have survived the fall.
