Mavrodi Mondial Movement (MMM) in Nigeria is calling on participants with accounts it has frozen to publicise the scheme ahead of its promised recommencement on 13 January.
MMM halted all withdrawals in that country on 13 December 2016, sparking fears that the Ponzi scheme has crashed.
The scheme has more than three million Nigerian subscribers.
MMM blames a “heavy workload on system” for the suspension of subscriber accounts.
The scheme is named after its founder, the convicted Russian fraudster Sergey Mavrodi.
