'ANCYL wants next SA president to lead the second revolution'

Mail & Guardian senior reporter, Pauli Van Wyk, says there are new developments in the African National Congress's (ANC) succession debate.

Van Wyk says ANC Youth League leader Collen Maine has told M&G they will back a candidate who will lead the second revolution.

That suggests that the two candidates, Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa and Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma might not be their candidates.

Meanwhile, the ANC Women's League still stands by its decision of backing Dlamini-Zuma to be the first woman president for the ANC.
