Department of Social Development has to take action on its spokesperson's controversial Facebook rant using strong language, says special advisor to Public Service and Administration Minister, Advocate Mahlodi Muofhe.
Lumka Oliphant defended her employer, Social Development Minister Bathabile Dlamini, on the reports saying she was drunk during a party event.
Muofhe says the Public Service Act stipulates that 'public servants should not bring public service into disrepute by speaking unbecomingly'.
However, he emphasises that other departments cannot get involved until the department affected takes action.
