Airbus to release a flying car by year-end

Airbus, the civil aircraft manufacturer based in France, wants to test a prototype for a self-piloted flying car by the end of this year.

Airbus spokesperson Linden Birns says this is part of finding solutions to urban congestion and the carbon footprint.

We have got all the technologies now. The only thing that is still needed to fine tune it is a reliable form of sense-in technology - the sort of things you have your car.

We are looking into these things not only to reduce congestion on the roads, but also in terms of reducing carbon footprint.
