Andre Slade to sue KZN govt, media for labelling him a racist

JOHANNESBURG - A controversial Sodwana Bay Guest House owner, who branded black people as inferior to whites and refused to accommodate them, says he plans to sue the media and the KwaZulu-Natal government for calling him racist.

Andre Slade said he believed black and white people shouldn't mix.

He has now filed an affidavit, claiming he's being treated unfairly.

KwaZulu-Natal Tourism MEC Sihle Zikalala has opened a case of hate speech and tax evasion against him.

Slade says he maintains that black people were created to be servants and that he supports the system of apartheid.

He says it’s unfair that he was branded a racist for his beliefs.

“We believe in segregation and that we’re differently assembled.”

Slade says since the provincial government flagged his business as operating illegally, he hasn’t had a single customer.

He is now begging for donations, adding he’ll accept money from black people, but won’t mix with them.
