Ramaphosa says ANC succession rules may change

Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa says the number of ANC leaders who want to contest for succession is increasing.

Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa says rules around succession may change when the party meets for its policy conference in June.

Ramaphosa and Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma have been publicly endorsed by some party members and structures of the African National Congress (ANC).

The ANC has maintained it is still discussing principles around succession and will not encourage pronouncing names of people who will contest to succeed President Jacob Zuma.
