Former Eskom CEO Brian Molefe to take over as Finance Minister - reports

Reports suggest that there will be a cabinet reshuffle after the State of The Nation Address (Sona) in February.

The Sunday Times reports that the African National Congress (ANC) in the North West requested for former Eskom CEO, Brian Molefe, to be appointed as a Member of Parliament and Minister of Finance.

Molefe resigned last year after being implicated in the Public Protector's state capture report.

The report revealed that Molefe visited the controversial Gupta family at their residence in Saxonwold at least 14 times.
