A look back at Dlamini-Zuma's legacy as AU chair

Many people have been critical of Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma's legacy as African Union (AU) commission chair.

Dlamini-Zuma delivered her final opening speech to open an AU summit in the capital of Ethiopia, advises freelance journalist Carien du Plessis.

Du Plessis reports on Dlamini-Zuma's remarks on gender and women empowerment and reflects on the mixed reactions about her tenure.

Some say Dlamini-Zuma did well and others claim she focused too much on South African, in an effort to push her campaign for the ANC presidency.
