Denosa threatens non-payment to SA Nursing Council if services not improved

There is only one SA Nursing Council (SANC) office based in Arcadia, Tshwane, where nurses from all over the country can register in order to work as well as receive payment.

We've tried to request a meeting with the minister to discuss this problem, but to no avail. If this cannot be pulled together, I think nurses will remain frustrated forever. It is a lack of respect for nurses.

Sibongiseni Delihlazo, Denosa communications manager

Denosa members are marching to the SANC offices on 22 February 2017 to raise their concerns.

Despite a SANC budget of R120 million (received in part from the 80 000 Denosa members), there are still no other offices elsewhere in the country in order to help nurses with the necessary administration.
