Public Protector says leaked report undermines her office

EWN's Barry Bateman attended a media briefing where Public Protector Advocate Mkhwebane told reporters she has filed notice to overturn the remedial action of the leaked state of capture report.

She said the leaked report "undermines the credibility" of her office - another reason why she has opened up a criminal case in that regard.

Mkhwebane said she will still take legal advice on whether to go ahead or not.

She was very upset, saying it's not a complete report and that this undermines the credibility of her office. The people who'd been implicated in the report still had not had an opportunity to respond.
