Tshwane Mayor Solly Msimanga spoke to Stephen Grootes on The Midday Report, from the parliamentary precinct prior to this evening's State of the nation Address (Sona).
Msimanga says it is worrying that Presidency did not invite the City of Tshwane to attend Sona while all spheres of government are supposed to be working together.

Tshwane Mayor Solly Msimanga says the priority message needed from President Jacob Zuma's Sona are plans for infrastructure investment needed in cities and plans to attract investment in the country.
Msimanga says the City is currently preparing the budget for 2017/2018 and consulting the public for Intergrated Development Plan (IDP).
He says he will make sure that infrastructure receives a large chunk of the budget.

he says it is not about bashing the ANC but rather about addressing the problems the country is facing.
