Paul O’Sullivan opens abduction case against police for arresting his attorney

Private investigator, Paul O’Sullivan, says his attorney Sarah-Jane Trent was arrested unlawfully by police on Friday.

O’Sullivan says he vows that all those involved in Trent's arrest will go to jail.

He claims that acting national police commissioner, Lieutenant-General Khomotso Phahlane, is behind the arrest.

In fact, we are opening a case against them for abduction. After tying her with cable ties they drove her around for several hours.

They tied her hands with cable ties. They did not comply with her constitutional right.

He says those involved acted like apartheid police and in fact are the same men from the days of the National Party.

O’Sullivan says Phahlane knows that he has investigating abilities that might put him behind bars.

O’Sullivan is helping Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid) investigate Phahlane on cases related to corruption and defeating ends of justice.
