Why the iconic Nokia 3310 is so appealing (and making a comeback!)

The Nokia 3310 is making its way back into the market.

According to reports, the phone will initially be available only to European and North American consumers.

The original version was retired in 2005 and it had sold 126 million units - making it the world's best selling phone, according to Nokia.

Media and tech expert Arthur Goldstuck explains that it was one of the most durable phones in the market and had a week's worth of battery life.

Goldstuck adds that the low price of the 3310 made it successful among youth at the time.

The 'brick' phone also enabled long text conversations back then, with an extended SMS character limit.

In a way, the 3310 was like the BlackBerry of its time.

Goldstuck says the return of the phone is a brilliant marketing move in the age of smart devices.

Bringing back an iconic phone like the 3310 and getting people talking about makes the world aware that the brand is back.

Listeners also called in to share their nostalgia about the Nokia 3310, from Snake II to Space Impact and the unforgettable ringtones.
