Zuma: govt unapologetic for policy on radical economic transformation

President Jacob Zuma is responding to statements made by MPs during two days of debate following his State of the Nation Address (Sona).

He spoke about the lack of decorum during his address last week which was again marred by chaos, violence and insults.

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) were forcibly ejected from the House and the Democratic Alliance (DA) followed by staging a walk-out.

Zuma gave a broad response to several issues raised directly by MPs including, land reform, affirmative action, employment equity reports EWN's Lindsay Dentlinger.

He did say that government was not going to apologise for its policy about radical economic transformation.

The president emphasised that none of the government programmes should be interpreted as hatred against white people.

He said government had to address inequalities of the past and that in no way was the ANC government a racist government.
