SA ready for Cyclone Dineo
The wrath of this storm will mostly affect the Kruger National Park, Enhlanzeni, Vhembe, Mopani and Waterberg district Municipalities.
The rain and wind will affect communities but disaster management plans are in place.
Mmaphaka Tau, head of the National Disaster Management Centre, has called for people to be vigilant, move to higher ground and cooperate with municipality disaster management plans.
In the event that there is flooding or damage to infrastructure our municipalities on the ground have done assessments to identify risk areas and evaluate how evacuation could be executed. We advise people to move to the high ground before the [storm] happens.Dr Mmaphaka Tau, Deputy DG National Disaster Management Centre, Department of Cooperative Governance
