25 civilians die in DRC ethnic killings

Militiamen from the Democratic Republic of Congo's Nande ethnic group have killed 25 civilians in the country's violence-torn eastern region.

The massacres have destroyed Hutu families, with many civilian victims hacked to death and decapitated with machetes.

The attacks have been committed by the Mai-Mai Mazembe in and around the village of Kyaghala, which is majority Hutu.
