Researchers detect first ever drug resistant malaria parasite

Africa has now joined southeast Asia in hosting the drug-resistant malaria parasite, which is part of the mosquito-borne disease.

Researchers have detected the first malaria parasite that's resistant to anti-malaria drug, artemisinin.
