Prasa acting CEO denies 350% salary increase, cites plot to discredit him

Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (Prasa) acting CEO, Collins Letsoalo, says there is a plot to discredit his reputation related to change resistance as he was brought to Prasa to change things around.

Letsoalo denies reports that he has increased his own salary by 350% saying remuneration is only approved by the board.

Collins Letsoalo admits he receives a board approved cost to company package of R5.9 million per annum.

What has happened is that he is been to Prasa to turn things around and technically he still retains his position at the Department of Transport so his salary doesn't increase in terms of that.

He says he gets what he deserves and it is the same package any other Prase CEO has received.
