Upwards and upwards for Heineken in Cote d'Ivoire

Created from scratch in 2015, Heineken’s Brassivoire is a young and fresh company built in a record time of just over 13 months. Heineken on the other hand, has been present in the Ivory Coast for more than 30 years.

Welcoming investment into Ivory Coast, Koch considers the CPC as a well mapped and effective body in terms of administration and logistics.

The investment code is quite clear.

Just launched, Heineken’s new beer, Ivoire - developed together with the Ivorian customer - it is already leading with an estimated 60% to 70% of the business in Abijan with plans to go further north soon. In addition, the company also boasts as the first brewery to brew with a percentage of local rice.

We always want to have a big local footprint, we try to source as much as we can locally.

Touching on the country’s infrastructure, Koch says that the company has recruited good distribution and transport partners across the Ivory Coast, and considers the infrastructure relatively good.
