Opinion: Let's all stop rhino poaching, this is our heritage

Earlier this week the Department of Environmental affairs announced that South Africa registered a 10.3% decline in the number of rhino poached last year.

However, Environmental Affairs Minister Edna Molewa mentioned that while there has been a decrease in the number of rhino killed in the Kruger National Park and Mpumalanga‚ the number increased in some other provinces.

Xolani Gwala strongly condemns poaching rhino for horns.

We need to remember that this is our heritage. This is our children's heritage. It'st he tourist attraction. It's the goose that lays the gold in the egg.

Xolani Gwala, 702 Breakfast host

We have got to defend it with all we have. We must make sure we do not take our eye on the ball, and continue fighting against poaching.
