Soshanguve residents refuse to be addressed by Tshwane mayor

Tshwane Mayor Solly Msimanga was forced to leave a meeting when Soshanguve residents who are allegedly African National Congress (ANC) did not want him to speak.

The group that refused to be addressed by Msimanga cheered Gauteng MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs and Human Settlements, Paul Mashatile.

Mashatile and Msimanga were handing houses over to beneficiaries and inspecting projects.

Tshwane ANC regional secretary, Paul Mojapelo, says it is not true that residents were ANC members, saying Mashatile met the community on his ability as MEC.

Mojapelo insists the ANC in the region accept Msimanga as mayor.

Listen to Paul Mojapelo saying the ANC accepts Msimanga is mayor but he must handle himself as a mayor for all residents...
