John Maytham rips into fear mongering cries of impending doom

John Maytham reacts to an article that appeared in the Rand Daily Mail and which was mailed to him repeatedly through the course of the day.

It predicts social unrest and chaos ensuing as social grants are not paid.

Maytham says that will not happen and Jacob Zuma is not deliberately directing chaos around social grants in order to cause unrest and declare a state of emergency.

That is absolute rot!

Maytham says Zuma is not capable of doing anything of that ilk and implores people to be realistic about what is happening in South Africa.

There is a great deal wrong with our country, he agrees, but do not create a future scenario of 'hell in a hand basket'.
