#BabySiwaphiwe: I don't feel my tears were wasted, says Redi Tlhabi

702 Afternoon Drive host, Redi Tlhabi, reacts to a twist of events in the kidnapping and hijacking of #BabySiwaphiwe.

Mother of the child, Sibongile Mbambo, appeared briefly before the Durban Magistrates court on Monday for allegedly being involved in the kidnapping and hijacking of her own child.

It has been reported that the mother planned the abduction of the baby with two other men.

On Friday Tlhabi was moved to tears when the story broke.

I don't feel at all that my tears were wasted.

Redi Tlhabi

The fact is a baby went missing. For that baby it was distressing, and it is still distressing. If the mother is involved, I don't see why that's something to celebrate. That's something to cry about.

Redi Tlhabi

What is the fate of this baby, being caught up in these strange relationships.
