Ex-Egyptian President a free man

Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak will be released from detention in a military hospital today after being cleared of murder charges.

The 88-year-old has been in detention since his arrest in 2011.

Mubarak faced corruption and murder charges relating to ordering the killing of protesters who ended his 30-year-rule.
