IJR flags importance of holding watchdog institutions accountable

The Institute for Justice and Reconciliation (IJR) says it will use the Lead SA Twitter takeover opportunity to look at the role of democratic institutions in ensuring accountability, transparency and good governance.

As much as these are institutions and the role they play is important, it's important that citizens are aware of their role and keeping accountable, and how they can make sure these institutions also relate to them and function properly in terms of making sure the society that we are is working towards the goals that we want.

Elnari Potgieter, Institute for Justice and Reconciliation

Potgieter will be tweeting on behalf of IJR on the LeadSA Twitter handle between 10:30am and 12pm on Wednesday.

Join the conversation using #HumanRightsTweets.
