Africa Business: Which sectors are set to grow in Africa?

This article has been updated: In an earlier version, Refilwe Moloto of Ambassador Advisory was quoted saying Nestle had pulled out of Nigeria. Nestle has responded that this is incorrect and the company remains operational in that country.

Refilwe Moloto, Founder & Principal Advisor, Ambassador Advisory discusses the future of business in Africa.

She explains that the McKinsey's 2016 Lions II on the Move report released last year, highlights the post-commodities boom phase of the African continent.

The report also sought to identify what would drive us forward through the cycle, and where.

Six sectors are set to grow in Africa, namely, wholesale and retail, food and agri-processing, health care, financial services, light manufacturing, and construction.

Between 2015 we've seen a great deal of reversal from global multinationals pulling out of Africa, she added.

She says these sectors are less likely to be the winners going forward.
