Minister Jeff Radebe has briefed media on the outcomes of the Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday.
Dominating the press conference was the Sassa grants debacle and calls by MPs to have Social Development Minister Bathabile Dlamini removed from her position.
Radebe says an inter-ministerial task team has been established to investigate Social Development and Sassa's conduct in the current grants crisis.
Non-governmental organisation Black Sash started with its legal argument at the Constitutional Court on Wednesday, saying Dlamini failed in her oversight duty of Sassa.
EWN’s Ziyanda Ngcobo says Radebe has told journalists that a decision will be made by the task team after the Constitutional Court judgment has been reached.
Questions have also been raised about Dlamini's involvement in the task team.
On Bathabile Dlamini’s inclusion on the inter-ministerial task team, one of the journalists were asking if this isn’t a conflict of interest.

He said no it is not because her inclusion will allow the task team to gain information.
