Artist Zwelethu Mthethwa has been found guilty of murder

Artist Zwelethu Mthethwa has been found guilty and sentenced for the murder of a sex worker, Nokuphila Kumalo who was killed in Woodstock in 2013.

Judge Patricia Goliath, described the attack on Kumalo as a vicious towards someone that was vulnerable and unable to defend themselves.

Mthethwa's lawyer tried to get him out on bail but Goliath refused saying his offence is serious. Mthethwa will spend the night at Pollsmoor prison.

This might actually be the first time he actually spends time in prison since 2013. If you remember, he was out of the country when the police were looking for him for about a month.
