Sassa dominates in Zuma Q&A in Parliament

EWN Reporter Lindsay Dentlinger, says President Jacob Zuma told the National Assembly sitting that it would be unfair to punish someone for something they haven't yet done. He was referring to Minister of Social Development, Bathabile Dlamini.

Zuma told Members of Parliament that his team of ministers dealing with matter are not sitting on their hands and was being regularly briefed.

There was loud applause for what Zuma was saying and a lot of support coming from the public benches rather than the floor.

Dentlinger also adds that the President gave the shortest answer when probed about the appointment of former, Eskom CEO, Brian Molefe as a Member of Parliament.

He didn't believe that Molefe being an MP in the house in any way affected the dignity of Parliament.
