Drip Drop oral re-hydrate powder helps victims of Imizamo Yethu fire

As a student at the Mayo Medical School, Eduardo Dolhun MD witnessed thousands of people dying unnecessarily from dehydration while on a relief mission in Guatemala.

He created Drip Drop to galvanize a swift response to this human crisis.

Drip Drop, Inc. is a company founded on care: doctors caring for patients, parents caring for children, communities caring for themselves and others.

The oral solutions contain a precise ratio of salts, sugars and other ingredients.

Dolhun says within three hours of arriving in South Africa he made his way to the Imizamo Yethu informal settlement which was destroyed by fires recently assisting the victims.

He says he also visited another township, to address a more endemic problem of infectious diarrhea.

His organisation has strategised with local leaders and NGO's to formulate and find long term solutions.

Dehydration with and without diarrhea is definitely a major problem in any disaster area.

Eduardo Dolhun, Inventor, Drip Drop

Dolhun says the beauty of Drip Drop is that it can be used by anyone and can prevent deaths if used in a timely fashion.
